Collect less. Explain clearly.

Khoj collects the listing details and contact information needed to publish and manage an available room. We do not require room seekers to create profiles.

Public information

Listing title, description, city, area, rent, facilities, photos, poster display name, and optional relationship may be public. Phone and email are returned only after a visitor chooses to reveal them, but any revealed contact can still be copied.

Protected information

Management links, encrypted contact values, security hashes, report metadata, and admin notes are not public. Sensitive values are excluded from ordinary logs and page metadata.

Retention

Unfinished data and abandoned uploads are removed quickly. Listings expire after 30 days unless renewed. Rented, expired, deleted, and moderated data is retained only for renewal, safety, and dispute-handling periods before removal.

Your choices

Posters can edit, mark rented, or delete using their private link. For a privacy or removal request when that link is lost, contact the project administrator and provide enough non-public detail to support a safe review.
